This list of my reasons for writing is by no means
a comprehensive list, but it will certainly point you
in the right direction of me:

I write because sense needs to be confounded
and I need to be the one confounding it;
I don’t like that we have explanations for bad weather.
I write because I don’t like it.

I write because so that I don’t go crazy.
I write because I have already gone crazy.
I write because hopefully a poem of mine
will gaslight some hapless reader one day.

I write to fight against the preservation of history.
I write to pervert and contort history.
Everything needs to be wiped clean.
I write because it is important to destroy facts.

I write because it is important to victimize
the reader/listener, to force them to have to try
to understand what I have done to sense & syntax,
to history, to the things that people “know”.

I write because please Dad don’t think
that I have wasted my life, Dad I’m trying
Dad I will make one good thing that will
last after you and I are dust.

I write because I don’t like the truth.
I write because pussy.
I write because Owl and the Pussycat.
I write because I wish I could say,
so I do.
